Put a backpack over your shoulders and we will take you around hidden scenic treasures that Mother Nature unraveled for us. Slovakia, with its rather stubby territory, is home to nine national parks and the world’s smallest mountain range. The lush, forested landscape in the heart of Europe boasts a picturesque, yet untamed nature full of treasures and rarities that has captured the whole world with its uniqueness. Enjoy the gorgeous glacial lakes along the hiking trail leading to an alpine hut, or just stop for a moment let your thoughts wander off to the sounds of mountain stream in a quiet countryside.

This and much more is waiting for you if you take our special offer to visit five national parks in a single tour.

Itinerary

Arrival and evening tour of Bratislava

Individual arrivals of guests to Bratislava.
BELKY travel agency delegate meets and greets the guests at the reception of the agreed hotels.
If interested, the travel agency can arrange for a transfer from a point of arrival to a hotel.
On this day, the travel agency delegate organizes an evening tour of the capital city.

Malá Fatra

Driven by curiosity, we will set out for our seven-day adventure around Slovakia. We will stay at the hotel located at Malá Fatra National Park where we will hitch a ride down the old Orava steam railway, stretching across the wild and beautiful forests of north-western region. Our steam train stops at Zuberec, the natural open-air museum of folk architecture. There you can enjoy traditional Slovak atmosphere set in the tranquil are of coniferous forest.

Malá Fatra and Vysoké Tatry

Prepare for Slovakia’s most beautiful hiking trails with its natural scenery rivaling painter´s masterpieces. A collection of gorges, stone overhangs and cold streams that run through them present an unforgettable atmosphere in every season. There are more than twenty waterfalls in the holes and peculiar rock formations with a specific climate are home to many species of plants and animals. Slovak folk hero Jánošík found his haven in this part of Slovakia.
After a well-earned rest and a good meal, we will move to the most famous national park of the High Tatras, where we climb around the Štrbské pleso, a glacial lake overlooking the majestic Gerlachovský shield (2 654 m a.s.l.), the highest peak of the entire Carpathian Mountains that runs through seven other European countries.

Hiking in High Tatras

Fresh mountain air will see you waking up in a traditional Tatra mountain village. The view from your window includes majestic shields of the world’s smallest mountains, with beauty matching those of Alps or the Caucasus, all this will set you in the mood for today’s mountain hike. During a nearly all-day trip to Téry’s cottage (2 015 m a.s.l.), you will get the chance to see with your own eyes that Vysoké Tatry is a unique mountain gem of wildlife remote from the surrounding civilization.

Belianske Tatry and Pieniny

After yesterday’s performance, the main feature of the fourth day will be rest and relaxation. We will explore the fairy-tale land of Belianske Tatry mountains, where we participate in a highly sought-after attraction – the treetop pathway. Walking through the tree crowns gives you a completely new view of Tatry character and shields.
Raft making, one of the oldest Slovak folk crafts, is another attraction to be found nearby, at the next stop of our tour, Pieniny national park. National park of Pieniny was the first internationally recognized wildlife reserve in Europe, and so called Gorals, the members of local populations, have guided presidents of several countries across these valleys at the Slovak-Polish border. Sailing down the Dunajec River, you can enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and learn more about the history of this fascinating craft.

Slovenský raj

The National park of Slovenský Raj translates as “Slovak Paradise” and this name isn’t misleading. This is one of the most beautiful parts of Central Europe, which received its name thanks to its natural beauty and preserved wildlife. Its territory is home to the lowest situated ice cavern in the world, deep gorges, canyons, and waterfalls. In order to traverse these safely, one must often utilize ladders, platforms, or chains. After enjoying this natural paradise on earth, we will enjoy a festive evening with traditional Slovak music and cuisine.

Nízke Tatry

The sixth day is reserved for Nízke Tatry (Low Tatras) mountains, a tourist´s favourite. We boar together a cable car lift up to 2 024 AMSL, Chopok mountain. Once atop, you will be able to see both the entire national park and also the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding ridge of the Vysoké Tatry mountains.
The rest of the day will belong to an individual program and relaxation in the Demänovská valley.

Demänovská Cave of Liberty

Experience a tour along the longest Slovak cavern, Demänovská Jaskyňa Slobody, which captivates its visitors right at the entrance with its soothing atmosphere combined with ethereal music that lure you into a voyage of discovery. This cavern owns its popularity to its colorful decoration, mysterious underground river and gorgeous turquoise lakes.

After the tour around the nature of national parks of Slovakia, we will return back to Bratislava.
